This is because when alcohol and antibiotics react together, they may have a reaction whereby which the body undergoes severe side effects.
Antibiotics are used in the treatment of bacterial infections. They specifically target bacteria, microorganisms, fungi and parasites within your body that have caused infection, but they are not effective in treating viral infections.
