For the most part having one glass of wine or one cocktail would probably not pose a problem no matter what antibiotics you are taking but as they say, too much of a good thing can easily become a bad thing. Drinking responsibly is always a good idea but when you are ill with an infection that requires you to take antibiotics, it is even more important that you not overload your body with any kind of toxins, including alcohol. Most doctors would not object to a small amount of alcohol with a meal though.
